This training is a blend of foundational information on complex trauma with the introduction of the practice of safety and stabilisation.

This training program utilises current research to provide an understanding of trauma, the impacts of trauma and the neurobiological responses that occur. Building an understanding of the key features of complex trauma that can present in our working relationships and the resourcing and regulation that can support in practice.

This program is for those who have some level of trauma awareness and seek to build on their knowledge and continue to embed the trauma informed principles within therapeutic practice.

By participating in this professional development training, participants will:

  • Develop an understanding of complex trauma and it’s impacts
  • Explore neurobiology in the context of trauma experiences
  • Understanding the importance of safety, regulation and resourcing
  • Practically apply a trauma informed lens to demonstrate trauma responsive practice

This training is designed for practitioners who work in a therapeutic relationship with people who have experienced complex trauma ie: Social workers, case managers, psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists.
